A week with Homeschoolers

Part 11 Wooooove and wabbits
Slowly the dark red god of the day was being pulled to the underworld as The merry party made their way down the packed dirt street to the Dance hall, i.e. the school gymnasium. It was once filled with kids that were now old and had families of their own and moved out. See Piccadilly had no children. The town was slowly dying off. One day some big city would have thrown it’s suburbia out to the once living, breathing town of Piccadilly and put a Super Wallyworld where history had walked. Carol was walking arm in arm with Klaus, who was also eating at the time, again, and she had linked arms with Elisabeth, who was giggling along with Carol. Just behind her walked Peter and Abi, no need to say what they were doing, and behind them Jared and Kayla. The surprising thing was that for once, in the whole trip Jared was not playing a prank on someone, he was looking tenderly at his Halfling and had his hand on her stomach. Carrie and Charlyn were linked with their hubbies on either side of them. Mark was using his latest tech gadget to arrange his business schedule, he had cornered the market in Linux kernels, hence why he hated them. Erik was steamboated up and thinking about what a pretty wife he had. His pretty wife was sharing chocolate with Carrie, those two… well their husbands would always think they were thin, no matter how much they ate. Sara, Bekah, Chad and Michael were close behind. Sara and Bekah were discussing how cute Bekah’s shoes were and Chad and Michael were trying their best not to die of complete boredom.. as if that was what would end up killing them all. Matt, Jay, Freddy were behind them all three in matching Bunny outfits. Yes, I know the girls were going to say “Awwwwww How cute!” and get all mushy, but it was an accident. See, these boys had asked for matching Rambo outfits… but Freddy’s handwriting was so bad that they got 3 matching rabbit outfits. And they wouldn’t stop complaining. Freddy was going to be lucky to be in one piece tomorrow. Oh well, it’s what they get for trying to outdo Superman. :P There were 4 people missing… where were they? Kim, Chris, Scarlett and Ben were still at the hotel. Now before some of you start drawing conclusions.. Kim was having clothing problems. Ever seen Pocahontas in heels? Yah, Kim thought she could pull it off; Scarlett was trying to help her. There was a reason the Indians went barefoot or had them moccasins. Now I know that it’s a medieval dance… so Cy was wearing a shirt that said Medieval times on it, Matt, Freddy, and Jay were being themselves, and Kim argued that Indians dressed the same way throughout history. Now Chris and Ben, well, they got in a discussion about predestination, and they forgot about the dance, they were sitting in a side room eating and arguing about whether Kant was a nutcase or not. Scarlett ran down the hall in her outfit, springing softly on her slippers and she noticed the two arguing.
“Chris! Ben!” Scarlett placed her hands on her hips and glared at the two misfits. “Are you two planning on participating or not? You are late for the dance!”
Chris waved his hands, “Dancing is a sin!” He started to extrapolate but Kim stalked in with a haughty look on her face.
“High heels suck!” She tossed her mane of hair and a couple feathers floated out. “Ughn!! This is a royal pain!”
Chris mouth dropped open as he looked at Kim. She stood 5’ 5” in heels with her lovely hair cascading softly over her deerskin covered shoulders. Chris started to stammer, “Kim…Uh, Um,” He looked down at his dirty white sneakers and finished his sentence. “I’ll go get dressed for the dance; y’all go ahead, I’ll catch up.”
Scarlett fussed at him, “No you will get ready and come with us! Ben still has to get ready as well, then we will all go and hopefully we will only miss the first dance. Now get a move on!” Both Kim and Scarlett started tapping their feet and glaring at Ben and Chris. Ben bowed himself out and Chris rushed from the room.
Ben and Chris quickly got ready and rushed out. Ben winked at Scarlett and took her arm leaving Kim to take Chris’ arm. Ben, Kim and Scarlett talked and enjoyed the walk to the gym, and Chris got very bashful each additional moment. He was thinking how warm her arm.. and how muscular her arm was, and he tried to think about his server but it was hard to be focused. It seemed to take too long for them to get there.
They walked in and gentle music seemed to wash over them in a long wave. Ben and Chris stopped in awe at the colors and costumes.. not really they were snickering at the 3 giant bunnies hoping in the center. Giant fluffy ears, bigger fluffy feet, a cute poofy tail, and a giant pooch gut. Eh, wonder how medieval times had bunnies?

  1. Haha, I have the same comment for this as I have had for all the other parts. "Oh. Wow." I'm glad you're picking on Chris and not me though. :P (Although the only mention I do get is... slightly disturbing.) lol

  2. Somehow I knew that was coming about Kim and me since we were first introduced in the plot.
